At the Institute of CPD we are committed to developing individuals, professionals and every single person across the globe. Regardless of your experience, background or educational level, we inspire the sharing of knowledge, self-driven raising of standards. This ensures the public have confidence, and trust, our professional roles and services.
As a member of iCPD, you are required to take responsibility for the enhancement and maintenance of your skills and knowledge as stipulated in the iCPD Member Code of Conduct
As of 1st July 2022, all individuals registered with iCPD who hold Member and Fellow level must record a minimum of 30 hours of CPD per annum.
If you are a young person, and are registered as an iCPD Achiever, you must record a minimum of 10 hours of CPD over a 12 month period.
Your annual CPD requirement begins on your registration date and runs for the full 12 months. During this time, you must record your CPD activities as a formal learning record. This can be logged using a personal recording tool, or through the The Institute of CPD’s online CPD recording portal.
The Institute is not prescriptive as to what topic your CPD activities cover, and the learning methods you use. However, we do encourage you to undertake CPD across five key categories where possible. The learning categories are professional activities, self-directed learning, formal educational learning, work-based learning, and informal learning.
Get Inspired!
Please view our CPD Learning Categories Guidance for 2023 for details on the five categories, and inspiration on what you can do to achieve great CPD.
